We know for a fact that life begins at conception. This is validated both scientifically and scripturally. Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
Yes. Increased risk for future pregnancies for placenta previa, as well as increased risk for breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and liver cancer. Other physical complications include but are not limited to are uterine perforations, cervical lacerations, and even death! The leading causes of abortion related deaths within a week of the surgery are hemorrhage, and infection…
The child’s deformity is often misdiagnosed or the deformity is minor. Many couples, that their unborn child was diagnosed as handicapped, chose to give birth and delivered healthy babies. Handicapped children are not social liabilities, and healthy “normal” people are not always social assets. Every life is precious. Exodus 4:11 “Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord?”
If we tell a woman that abortion is the solution in the case of rape, we are forcing this woman who has been victimized to become an aggressor against her own child– further adding to her trauma. In the case of incest, we are only guaranteeing further abuse in her life. The aggressor’s secret is in tact, and he will continue to abuse her. Ezekiel 18:20 “The one who sins is the one who dies. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins…”
God, our Creator, knew us by our name before we were even born. Psalm 139:13-16 “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous — and how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”
Abortion goes against the very heart of what God designed men to do. God created men to “provide” and “protect” their children and families. Men are also responsible for the child and should have a part in the decision. The father of the child will often face serious grief and guilt as the result of the abortion. Men hurt too.
To really understand about abortion recovery, we have to know what we’re recovering from. [Focus on the Family] The definition of Post Abortion Syndrome is defined as an ongoing inability to: (a)Process the painful thoughts and emotions – especially guilt, anger and grief. (b) Identify (much less grieve) the loss that has been experienced. (c) Come to peace with God, herself and others involved in the pregnancy and abortion decision.
To hear the truth about the gospel of Jesus Christ, of His healing and restoration. To know of God’s grace (undeserved love and favor) to you. To be able to grieve for your aborted child in a safe secure place with others that have gone through abortion. To know the freedom that can only come through Jesus Christ. Isaiah 61:3 NLT “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.”
Like any other word used for a child, toddler or adolescent, the terms embryo and fetus refer to a human child at a particular stage of development. From 18-24 days after conception the baby’s heart starts beating. Every abortion stops a beating heart and destroys measurable brain waves. Terminating a pregnancy is terminating a life. Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.”
What is legal doesn’t always means it’s right. Every woman has a right to choose (except in the case of rape) and the choice should be made before a child is conceived. The comparison between a baby’s right and a mother’s rights is unequal. What is at stake in abortion is the mother’s lifestyle, as opposed to the baby’s life.
